Jerome Boateng was left for dead in the 80th minute of Barcelona's 3-0 win versus Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

In a jaw-dropping moment that left Boateng's ankles looking like the burning wreckage of a car crash, Lionel Messi carved his way around the German defender's helpless soul before chipping the ball over Manuel Neuer to double the Catalan club's lead.

Social media exploded after the goal, with jokes and memes popping up left and right across the Internet.

On Friday, however, Boateng fired back at all those who laughed at him via Instagram, referring to himself as Marlon Brando in the process.
