Jack Catterall is ready for his rematch against Josh Taylor following one of the most controversial fights in boxing history.

"March, April is when me and Josh accepted the fight, and I just can't wait to smash his head in and be done with it all. ... People are still talking about the first fight, which is coming up two years ago," Catterall told IFL TV.

Catterall later clarified on social media that he accepted his side of the agreement. Meanwhile, Taylor added that he's confident another fight between the two will happen but rejected the notion that he's agreed to a deal.

"I think he needs to stick to his crayons and his coloring in books. He just doesn't know what's happening," Taylor said, according to talkSPORT's Michael Benson.

Taylor (19-1, 13 KOs) beat Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs) by split decision in February 2022 to retain his undisputed light welterweight crown. However, many in the industry believed Catterall won the bout, and the loss is the only blemish on his record.

The 33-year-old Taylor has since lost his belts to Teofimo Lopez, while the 30-year-old Catterall defeated Darragh Foley and Jorge Linares.
