Plant defends IBF super middleweight belt with dominant win over Truax
Caleb Plant successfully defended his IBF super middleweight title for a third time by defeating Caleb Truax in a unanimous decision win in Los Angeles on Saturday.
All three judges scored the fight 120-108 in Plant's favor.
"Sweet Hands" took control from the start, dominating all 12 rounds and controlling the pace of the fight. He landed over 100 more punches than Truax.

Plant, who upped his record to 21-0, revealed afterward that he may have suffered a broken hand early in the bout, according to Sam Gordon of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The 28-year-old is now eyeing Canelo Alvarez for what would be a blockbuster super middleweight unification bout.
"That's my goal. I want to become the first undisputed super middleweight champion of all time," Plant said, according to Bad Left Hook's Scott Christ. "I feel like I'm the best super middleweight in the world. Whoever is in the way, you line 'em up, I'll knock 'em down."
But Alvarez - the reigning WBA regular and WBC super middleweight champion - must likely take care of his own business before a fight against Plant can happen. Alvarez is scheduled to defend his belts against Avni Yildirim in February; a win over Yildirim would reportedly set up a May bout with WBO titleholder Billy Joe Saunders.
Truax, who was fighting for the first time in over a year, saw his record drop to 31-5-2.
