Gervonta Davis indicted for hit and run last November
Gervonta Davis has been indicted on 14 counts related to a hit and run which took place last November in Baltimore, court records obtained by Justin Fenton of the Baltimore Sun show.
Davis was involved in a crash that sent four people to hospital on the morning of Nov. 5 after he was photographed celebrating his birthday at a downtown club.
All the charges, which include driving with a suspended license and failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, are misdemeanors and carry a maximum prison sentence of one year.
The original incident report stated that two people in a Lamborghini Urus SUV without plates ran a red light and collided with another vehicle. The two occupants of the SUV then fled on foot, with the driver later being identified as Davis.
The 26-year-old is the current WBA lightweight champion and super featherweight champion. Davis is 24-0 with 23 knockouts, with his most recent bout being Oct. 31, shortly before the accident.
