MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) It took Fabio Fognini nearly eight years, but he's finally avenged a fourth-round loss to Julien Benneteau at Wimbledon.
On Saturday, Fognini moved into the second week of the Australian Open after a 3-6, 6-2, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win over Benneteau advanced him to the fourth round.
Their 2010 match at the All-England Club was their only previous meeting.
Fognini will next play the winner of a later match Saturday between Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin del Potro.
