Djokovic, Nishikori advance to Toronto semifinals

TORONTO - No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic won his quarterfinal matchup over No. 5 seed Tomas Berdych 7-6, 6-4 on Friday to advance to the Rogers Cup semifinals, where the Serbian will take on Gael Monfils.
Monfils topped Milos Raonic in quarterfinal action, ending Raonic's bid to become the first Canadian man to win on home soil since 1958 .
Meanwhile, Japan's Kei Nishikori beat Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
The third-seeded Nishikori will face second-seeded Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland on Saturday.
Wawrinka topped South Africa's Kevin Anderson 6-1, 6-3.
