Rogers off to 4th round of French Open after upset of No. 10 Kvitova

American Shelby Rogers has defeated No. 10 Petra Kvitova 6-0, 6-7, 6-0 to advance to the fourth round of the French Open.
Rogers, 23, is ranked No. 108 in the world and has now put together three straight upset victories to keep her dream alive at Roland Garros. In addition to the win over Kvitova, Rogers topped No. 17 Karolina Pliskova in the first round and No. 49 Elena Vesnina in the second.
This is the furthest Rogers has advanced in a Grand Slam in her young career. She was ranked as high as No. 70 in the world in September 2014.
Next up, Rogers will take on No. 25 Irina-Camelia Begu.
