You'll never guess who Neymar will be cheering for in the World Cup final
There are few footballing rivalries as historically intense as the one between Argentina and Brazil. In the lead up to Sunday's World Cup final, more than one pundit has suggested that the only thing worse than Brazil not winning the tournament on their home soil would be for Argentina to do so.
Despite a past full of legendary clashes, Brazil's best player told reporters on Thursday he hopes his country's arch rival Argentina emerge victorious over the Germans.
Neymar:
I wish good luck to Germany, but I want my two friends — Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano — to win it. Messi deserves to win this World Cup for all he has done for football.
Mascherano, Messi and Neymar all play their club football together at Barcelona. However, the bitter rivalry between Argentina and Brazil still makes Neymar's support surprising.
