Daniel Sturridge: Scores in return to starting lineup
Sturridge attempted a pair of shots and scored the opening goal in Sunday's 6-0 rout of Aston Villa.
Analysis:
The striker made his long awaited return to the starting XI, and he quickly reminded Liverpool fans of what they've been missing, tucking home a header in the 16th minute. Sturridge has been limited to just five starts this season because of injuries, but his five goals illustrate that he is still a top marksman when healthy. Now healthy and playing between Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho in a front three, Sturridge should be a weekly fantasy consideration for as long as he can stay healthy. Liverpool will resume league play versus Manchester City on Feb. 28.
