VIDEO: McIlroy takes step closer to return from ankle injury

Rory McIlroy continues to inch closer towards a return to the links.

On Wednesday, he showed off some of the exercises he's been doing to rehabilitate his left ankle after missing the Open Championship.

Then, on Thursday, he uploaded a video of him on the driving range that seemed to show him twisting seamlessly with his left foot:

The 26-year-old also posted a picture of the progress his ankle has made since the injury:

No doubt McIlroy is nearing his return, one step at a time.
