Tiger woods technically, but unofficially, returned to the golf course Wednesday, participating in the Hero World Challenge pro-am one day before the real tournament gets underway.

Regardless of how you view the tuneup, Woods maintained he'll be ready to go Thursday.

"I felt good with pretty much everything," he told ESPN's Bob Harig. "I was able to hit all the shots I needed to hit. The wind was definitely pumping today and it was good to see it in this direction. The time since I've been here on Saturday, it's been blowing out of the other direction, so it's good to see it out of this direction."

Woods recorded two eagles - as well as two bogeys - and totaled a loose 2-under score of 70, according to Harig, who was there for the ride.

With no more practice rounds at his disposal, he's ready to make his highly anticipated return.

"I'll be focused; I'll be ready," he said.
