U.S. hadn't swept Ryder Cup's opening session since Arnold Palmer was captain

The late, great Arnold Palmer remains on the minds of golf enthusiasts after his death Sunday.
And as Ryder Cup play began Friday, the Americans channeled "The King" in sweeping the opening session to jump out to a 4-0 lead over Europe.
Last time the U.S. swept the opening matches of a Ryder Cup was 1975. The captain of that team? Arnold Palmer.
