Schneider is thus ruled out for Thursday's game against the Penguins as well as Friday's contest against the Caps. Meanwhile, coach John Hynes relayed Tuesday that he is not planning on Schneider playing Sunday against the Hurricanes, but such a scenario has not been totally ruled out just yet.
