Analysis:

Weise has been skating on the fourth line recently, but earned a promotion by giving maximum effort, finishing with a team-high six hits along with three shots on net. He had a hand in both Montreal goals, scoring an early one and then assisting on Max Pacioretty's third-period power-play goal that led to overtime. While he has 14 goals this season and has spent some time in a top-six role, Weise is not a gifted offensive performer and will eventually find himself on the fourth line again.
