Brandon Pirri (leg) will remain out for multiple weeks

Coach Gerard Gallant indicated Monday that Pirri (leg) is expected to miss a few weeks, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Pirri is believed to have injured either his left knee or ankle in Saturday's contest against the Predators, and required the assistance of crutches following the game. The Panthers will need to adjust the bottom-six in his absence, with the newly-recalled Greg McKegg figuring to draw into the lineup Monday. The team will also need to adjust the second power play unit, and while nothing's been confirmed, Dmitry Kulikov has previously logged time on the power play and may be the favorite to join in.
