Panthers' Barkov, Gudbranson expected to miss at least 2 more games

Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov and defender Erik Gudbranson are expected to miss at least two more games with their respective injuries, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.

After missing games against the St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators, Florida is hopeful both can return when its six-game homestand continues Monday versus the Pittsburgh Penguins, Richards notes.

The NHL opted against doling out punishment on Detroit Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader for a high, questionable hit that will cost Barkov, the team's star pivot, at least three games.

He was sent home for evaluation before the team finished its recent road trip.

Gudbranson has been out since Feb. 4 with an upper-body injury.
