Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Jason Garrison is expected to miss three-to-five weeks of action due to a lower-body injury, the team announced Thursday.
Garrison had just 4:10 of ice time Monday against the Ottawa Senators before leaving with the injury. He was not in the lineup for Tuesday's loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
The 31-year-old has four goals and three assists in 52 games.
Head coach Jon Cooper told reporters defenseman Slater Koekkoek will be recalled from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch.
