Analysis:

Bozak was already ruled out for the team's road trip, so it's not a huge surprise the Leafs made the procedural move of putting him on IR. He leaves the team shorthanded offensively, but will be eligible to return when the team faces the Blackhawks on Feb. 15, but it seems more likely he'll wait until they come back home to face the Rangers next week Thursday, assuming he's healthy. The club should provide more updates on his status as Bozak closes in on a return.
