Evgeni Malkin: Out of lineup for another week

Malkin (knee) will be out of the Penguins' lineup for at least another week.

Analysis:

Malkin was ruled out by coach Mike Sullivan for Wednesday's contest against the Rangers as well as the team's upcoming road trip. While the Penguins continues to say the injury is not long-term, the 29-year-old will miss his sixth consecutive game when they return to Pittsburgh on Feb. 18. The Russian center has been fantastic this season, averaging a point per game, and will make a dangerous tandem with a red-hot Sidney Crosby when he gets back on the ice.
