Sean Monahan notched a goal and three assists as the Calgary Flames weathered the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 on Wednesday night.

Monahan assisted on goals by Dougie Hamilton, Mark Giordano, and Johnny Gaudreau, then scored one of his own to ice the game early in the third period.

It was the first four-point night of Monahan's career, and it ended a four-game pointless skid for the 21-year-old, who now has 15 goals and 18 assists in 49 games.

The win also put an end to the Flames' three-game losing streak. Calgary went into the All-Star break with five losses in six previous contests.
