Florida Panthers defenseman Willie Mitchell has been ruled out of the team's next two contests with an undisclosed injury, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Given his recovery timetable, the earliest Mitchell could return to action is Tuesday against Toronto.

The 38-year-old blueliner has been a bit of a defensive liability for the Panthers of late, and has tallied just seven points (one goal, six assists) in 46 games this season.
