Matt Hendricks' return from a suspension started rough as he got pummeled in a fight by Florida Panthers defenseman Erik Gudbranson to avenge a dirty hit on teammate Aaron Ekblad eight days earlier.

Fortunately for Hendricks, his fellow Edmonton Oilers responded quickly as Teddy Purcell stole the puck from Vincent Trocheck and sprung Taylor Hall on a breakaway. The 24-year-old then wristed home his 17th of the season past Al Montoya to end a six-game goalless drought.

Hall leads the Oilers in both goals and points (43) despite just three points in his last 11 games entering Monday's game.
