Henrik Sedin: Likely out through All-Star break

Coach Willie Desjardins indicated Monday that Sedin (undisclosed) will likely sit out through the All-Star break.

Analysis:

Sedin has officially been ruled out through the end of the team's current road trip, and it appears his absence will likely extend beyond that. If he does miss that much time, the veteran would be slated to return Feb. 4 against the Blue Jackets at the earliest, though the team should update his status at some point before then. Jared McCann replaced Sedin on the top line during practice Wednesday, and would appear set to fill that void, while Bo Horvat took Sedin's place on the first power-play unit.
