Jeff Carter: Expected to be out Thursday

Carter (upper body) participated in morning skate, but didn't take part in line rushes and remained on the ice late, making him unlikely for Thursday's game against the Flames, LA Kings Insider reports.

Analysis:

Carter appears close to rejoining the lineup, but it looks as though he's still not ready. Assuming he misses the contest again as expected, the veteran's next chance to return comes Saturday against the Flyers.
