Sergei Belski / USA TODAY Sports

The Vancouver Canucks are hurting coming out of the holiday break.

Ryan Miller was hurt last Sunday, when he cramped up during a shootout with the Florida Panthers and was forced to leave the game. He didn't play Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and head coach Willie Desjardins said his recovery is taking longer than the team anticipated, according to Sportsnet's Dan Murphy. Miller could be out another week.

Miller's 10-11-6 with an underwhelming .909 save percentage. Jacob Markstrom will face the Edmonton Oilers in his place.

Chris Tanev played more than 25 minutes Tuesday, but is dealing with an undisclosed injury. He has a goal and four assists in 34 games, while logging over 21 minutes in ice time a game.

Chris Higgins missed Tuesday's game, and is also dealing with an undisclosed injury. He has only two goals and an assist in 21 games.
