Flyers' Gagne feels 'ready to go' after missing 9 games with concussion

A healthy Sam Gagner is waiting on the coaching staff to call his name.

The Philadelphia Flyers forward, who's missed the past nine games with a concussion, skated in place of Claude Giroux (maintenance day) in practice Monday and is eager to get back in the lineup.

"I feel ready to go," Gagner said Monday, according to Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post. "It's up to the coaches when to put me in. I feel ready."

Head coach Dave Hakstol, who made Gagner a healthy scratch at times earlier this season, is in the process of shifting around his lines, and will face a decision in terms of where to play the center-turned-winger.

"They're related a little bit, I guess," Hakstol said, specifically in relation to moving Jakub Voracek to left wing. "That doesn't mean that Sam can't come back into the lineup. He's very close to being ready. When that time comes, we'll consider where he goes in the lineup."

In 18 games with the Flyers, Gagner has recorded two goals, three assists, and 23 shots.
