Devils place Zajac on injured reserve

The New Jersey Devils have placed forward Travis Zajac on injured reserve.
The move is retroactive to Dec. 3 when Zajac left the game against the Carolina Hurricanes with an upper-body injury.
In turn, the club has recalled forward Joseph Blandisi from the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League. The 21-year-old has impressed early in his first professional season with seven goals and 16 points in 18 games.
