Sharks place Braun on injured reserve

San Jose Sharks defenseman Justin Braun (elbow) has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to this past Monday, Curtis Pashelka of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Analysis:

Braun reportedly underwent treatment for his infected left elbow Wednesday and fortunately, the issue is said to have been caught in the early stages. Team Teal has recalled defenseman Dylan Demelo with Braun not available for a game scheduled Saturday night against the Flames.
