VIDEOS: Canucks' Vrbata, Burrows stoned by Devils' Schneider

Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports

Cory Schneider had himself a Sunday night.

The New Jersey Devils goaltender made 36 saves against his former team, the Vancouver Canucks, leading his team to a 3-2 road victory.

Schneider stopped 15 of 17 shots he faced in the third period, and two of them were of the spectacular variety. He stayed with Radim Vrbata on the forward's penalty shot attempt, stoning him with his blocker:

Schneider then took a goal away from Alex Burrows, refusing to quit on a play that Bo Horvat - dangerous all night - set up with some excellent stickhandling:

The two saves made up for a blemish earlier in the period.

The win was New Jersey's second of the season against Vancouver and marks the first time the Devils swept a season series of at least two games with the Canucks.
