Predators claim Granberg off waivers from Maple Leafs

The Nashville Predators claimed defenseman Petter Granberg off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday, the team announced.
The 23-year-old was waived Saturday so he could join the AHL's Toronto Marlies as he recovers from a torn Achilles suffered in the offseason.
Granberg has played eight career NHL games, recording six penalty minutes. It's unlikely he'll crack the Predators' vaunted top-six blue-liners any time soon.
