VIDEO: Flames' Ramo stymies Sedins with brilliant blocker save

Sergei Belski / USA TODAY Sports

It's early - very, very early - but Karri Ramo is officially in the mix for save of the year.

Presented with the starting gig against the Vancouver Canucks on opening night, the Calgary Flames goaltender absolutely robbed the Sedin twins of their first points of the season.

Halfway through the first period, the Canucks took advantage of a Flames turnover and created an odd-man rush, with Henrik Sedin sending a perfect saucer pass to Daniel Sedin.

Just when it looked like the pair had combined for a nice goal, Ramo flashed the blocker with a tremendous windmill save.
