Havlat will not sign with the Panthers, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Havlat wasn't able to find a spot on one of the Panthers' top-three lines, and isn't really suited for fourth-line duties, which means the veteran winger will have to keep looking for a new home if he plans on suiting up for an NHL team early on in the 2015-16 campaign. Havlat did, however, recently purchase a home in Florida, which means the Panthers could offer him a contract at some point down the road if and when injuries strike. The 34-year-old tallied 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 40 games with the Devils last season.
