The New York Islanders placed forward Louis Leblanc on waivers, the team announced Monday.
A first-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2009, Leblanc signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Islanders this offseason.
He spent last season with Anaheim Ducks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, recording 14 goals and 29 points in 71 games.
