Coyotes sign Corey Potter to 1-year contract

The Arizona Coyotes signed Corey Potter to a one-year contract Friday, just a few days after releasing the veteran defenseman from his professional tryout.
He was immediately assigned to Springfield of the American Hockey League.
Potter made just six NHL starts last season, playing out most of the year with the Calgary Flames' AHL affiliate in Adirondack.
