Islanders sign veteran Zidlicky to 1-year contract worth a reported $1.5 million

Veteran defenseman Marek Zidlicky isn't done yet.
The New York Islanders announced a one-year deal with the 38-year-old Friday night. The contract is worth $1.5 million plus bonuses, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Zidlicky (NYI): $1.5M base. Bonuses: $8,095 per game after 40 GP, $200K for 35pts, $200K per playoff round. Bonuses count toward 16-17 cap.

Zidlicky spent time with the New Jersey Devils and Detroit Red Wings last season, scoring seven goals and adding 27 assists. Six of those goals and 14 of those assists came on the power play.
The right-handed shooting defender has been an offensive threat for most of his career, with 401 points in 783 games.
