What's a birthday without some livestock?
Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin turned the big 3-0 on Thursday, and he received a pretty practical birthday gift: a sheep.
According to CBS Sports' Chris Peters, Ovechkin had asked for a plush sheep as a present in the past.
Well, the Russian TV hosts took gifting to another level, and brought out a live sheep, clad in a Russian hockey jersey.
This gift is not something that one can keep quiet.
When asked by reporters on Friday about his birthday gift haul, Ovechkin was quick to mention his "real sheep" that is currently residing at his summer house in Russia.
And all you got for your birthday was a pair of socks.
