Mark Stone's soft hands are back.

The Ottawa Senators forward, who suffered a wrist injury as a result of a P.K. Subban slash during Game 1 of a playoff series last spring, isn't experiencing any lingering effects as training camp approaches.

"It's felt great out there the last couple of skates," Stone told Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun. "The shot feels good. The hands feel good. My legs are starting to come along. I feel good and I feel like I'm 100 percent."

Stone's wicked shot provided 26 goals in 80 games for the Senators, earning him second-place in Calder Trophy voting and a new three-year, $10.5-million contract.

With the wrist now healed, he's eager to get out there and prove his worth.

"It was something we were both comfortable with," Stone said of the new deal. "It keeps me an RFA when it's done and it gives me the chance to prove that I can do what I did not only for one year but a number of years.

"I'm happy with the dollars and happy with the term."

With a total of 30 goals through 103 career games, Stone - selected with the 178th pick in 2010 - is already proving to be a steal for the Senators.
