Lightning re-sign Namestnikov, Witkowski to 1-year contracts

The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Vladislav Namestnikov and defenseman Luke Witkowski to one-year, two-way contracts.

Namestnikov, 22, was the Lightning's first-round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft and appeared in 43 games for the squad last season.

The Russian scored nine goals and added seven assists. He also made his postseason debut, recording one point in 12 playoff games.

Witkowski, 25, made his NHL debut last season, appearing in 16 games for the Lightning without recording a point, while also earning 15 penalty minutes.

He was selected by Tampa in the sixth round of the 2008 draft.
