The Kostitsyn brothers won't be coming back to the NHL after all.

Andrei Kostitsyn, who was reportedly in talks to return to North America for the upcoming season, has signed a two-year deal with KHL club Torpedo, according to Igor Eronko of Sport-Express.

He'll be joined by his brother.

Andrei, 30, has spent the past three seasons playing in the KHL after appearing in 398 NHL games from 2005-12.

He suited up primarily for the Montreal Canadiens, who drafted him 10th overall in the 2003, before a short stint with the Nashville Predators in 2012. Andrei's NHL career basically came to an end after he was suspended by the Predators during the playoffs that year for missing curfew.

Altogether, he recorded 103 goals and 119 assists during his NHL career, and has scored 39 goals to go along with 48 assists since making the jump to the KHL. He split this past season between Traktor and Sochi.

Sergei, 28, played 353 NHL games, also with the Canadiens and Predators, and registered 67 goals and 109 assists. He last played in Nashville during the lockout-shortened 2013 season.
