Predators trade Taylor Beck to Maple Leafs for Jamie Devane

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Nashville Predators swapped some forward depth Sunday, with Taylor Beck heading to Toronto in exchange for Jamie Devane.

Beck has 85 games of NHL experience over three seasons with the Predators. The 24-year-old recorded 16 points in 62 games in 2014-15, including a career-high two-goal, three-point performance against the Maple Leafs in November.

Devane has spent the majority of his professional career with Toronto's American Hockey League affiliate, recording 15 points in 118 games. The 24-year-old has 253 penalty minutes in his AHL career and appeared in two games with the Maple Leafs in 2013-14.

Beck is a restricted free agent who has an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 24th. He earned $550,000 on a one-year deal in 2014-15.
