The Toronto Maple Leafs aren't ready to find "the guy" just yet.
The Maple Leafs will not hire a general manager prior to the NHL Entry Draft set for June 26-27 in Sunrise, Fla., according to Sportsnet's Damien Cox.
Cox spoke during a "Saturday Headlines" segment during the second intermission of Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final and stated that Leafs president Brendan Shanahan is comfortable heading up the draft as well as performing any deals that may arise.
Toronto has been without a GM since firing Dave Nonis in April along with interim head coach Peter Horachek and a slew of the team's scouting staff.
