Brenden Morrow on verge on joining elusive Triple Gold Club

Having slugged it out through 16 seasons of professional hockey, Brenden Morrow has earned an opportunity to attain his greatest athletic accomplish on tired legs.

The Tampa Bay Lightning's depth forward will be thrust into regality - joining the likes of Peter Forsberg, Jaromir Jagr, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Sidney Crosby as the 27th member of the Triple Gold Club - with a win in the Stanley Cup Final.

The elusive fraternity acknowledges the select few who have won Olympic and World Championship gold along with having their name etched on the Stanley Cup.

He'll have attained each requisite title in spans exceeding five years. He was part of a World Championship-winning roster in 2004 and was included on the 2010 Canadian Olympic team, which captured gold on home soil.

He will also do his country a service, giving Canada the most club members. The Canadians matched Sweden with their ninth inductee when Crosby captained the red and white to the World Championship earlier this month.
