Lightning's Victor Hedman doesn't seem to care for golf

For most, it's not a terrible consolation prize.

As cliches would tell you, NHLers swap sticks when their seasons come to an end, healing their bodies while touring pristine golf courses - the type to deny entry to most weekend warriors based on their cargo shorts alone.

Sure, most would prefer to continue competing for Lord Stanley's mug, but Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman seems to downright dread the other alternative.

"Tonight, when you go to sleep, you wake up tomorrow and you don’t have to come to the golf course," he said Friday after the Lightning's Game 7 triumph over the New York Rangers, via Yahoo's Greg Wyshynski.

Alright, alright - the towering Swede was probably just pulling from the North American book of stock answers.

But you never know - his drive might say otherwise.
