VIDEO: Vermette goes from healthy scratch to hero with Game 4 winner vs. Ducks

Maybe it was worth coughing up a first-round draft pick after all.

After witnessing a Game 3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks from the press box as a healthy scratch, Antoine Vermette found himself at the center of the Chicago Blackhawks celebration by netting the double overtime winner in Saturday's Game 4.

While his initial shot attempt was rebuffed, Vermette found the rebound and fired it past Frederik Andersen from a difficult angle.

Vermette was acquired from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for a 2015 first-round pick and prospect Klas Dahlbeck, but found himself on the sidelines as a coach's decision for a handful of playoff games.

The goal was Vermette's second of the playoffs, and only the second postseason game-winning goal of his career.
