Dennis Seidenberg wants to stick with Bruins: 'There's no question about it'

As the winds of uncertainty blow around the Boston Bruins, defenseman Dennis Seidenberg wants to help right the ship.

The club remains in search of a new general manager after failing to qualify for the playoffs, leaving some players to wonder whether they may be traded once a new hire takes the reins.

"It's a little weird," Seidenberg told Joe Haggerty of CSN. "Not only are we not playing in the playoffs, but there's the uncertainty of what's going to happen with the GM and stuff. There are a couple of things that are a little different from the last few years.

"(Peter Chiarelli) did great things for the organization, but I guess some changes had to be made. I'm sure they’re not done (making changes) yet. I'm sad to see him go. Now it's up to them to find a new guy, and it's up to him to find new chemistry, new players or whatever he wants to do."

With three years remaining on his contract with the Bruins, the German clearly wants to remain rooted in Boston.

"I want to stay. There's no question about it. I like it here. I like the people. I like the fans ... the city."

Seidenberg appeared in all 82 regular-season games, recording three goals and 11 assists while ranking last among all Bruins defensemen with a shot attempts rating of minus-100.
