Flames sign Czech defenseman Jakub Nakladal to 1-year, entry-level contract

A team that found its way into the second round of the playoffs has added defensive depth.
The Calgary Flames have signed free-agent Czech defenseman Jakub Nakladal to a one-year, entry-level contract.
The 27-year-old spent the past season playing for TPS Turku of the Finnish Elite League, recording 15 points in 50 games. Most recently, he represented his country at the World Championship, where he contributed five assists in ten games en route to a fourth-place finish.
Nakladal also has 117 games in the KHL to his credit, wherein he scored two goals and added 18 assists.
