Report: Sharks receive permission to interview Dan Bylsma

A day after a report suggested the San Jose Sharks could be a fit for free-agent coach Mike Babcock, San Jose is taking a look at another candidate.

The Sharks have been given permission to interview former Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma, according to ESPN The Magazine's Craig Custance.

Bylsma recently acted as an assistant coach for the United States at the World Championship, helping the team capture bronze with a very young lineup.

The 2011 Jack Adams Award winner has not coached in the NHL since being fired by the Penguins following the the 2013-14 season.
