Fan arrested for bringing gun into Lightning-Canadiens playoff game

Luckily Tyler Johnson's goal with 1.1 seconds left in regulation was the most devastating shot fired in Game 3 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens.

This comes after Tampa Bay police arrested a fan at Wednesday's game who brought a gun into the arena.

The 27-year-old man was reportedly outed after he dropped the gun in the bathroom. When confronted by police, he told the officer he had the gun in his pocket.

The man in question, Lucas Cassidy, has a valid concealed weapon permit which should limit him to just a second-degree misdemeanor charge for bringing a gun to a sporting event.

The incident comes after a woman was arrested at Amalie Arena after trying to set the large Lightning flag on fire during the national anthem.

Suffice to say fans can likely expect to be patted down a little more thoroughly before Game 4 on Thursday.
