Another Swede had an offensive explosion Monday.

A day after Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg went off for three goals and an assist in a 6-1 pounding of Austria, Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson gave the red light a workout.

The 29-year-old scored three times as Sweden beat up on Latvia, 8-1.

Eriksson had a goal called back earlier in the game, but redeemed himself after tipping a point shot past Latvian goaltender Ervins Mustukovs to get the hat trick.

With the win, Sweden improves to 2-1-0-0 at the tournament. Things should get a little tougher when the team takes on Canada in its next game Wednesday.
