Canadiens' Therrien: We've been underdogs since preseason

The Montreal Canadiens are not entering the second round cocky - quite the contrary, actually.

Head coach Michel Therrien told reporters Thursday that he believes his team is the underdog heading into their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning

"We've been underdogs since the start of the preseason," said Therrien. "But this group perseveres and works hard. They find a way."

"We're probably the only team in the playoffs with home-ice advantage that's the underdog."

Therrien is fair in making that assessment of his team, especially if he takes into account the season series between the two teams.

The Lightning went 5-0-0 against the Canadiens, giving up just one overtime point and outscoring the opposition 21-8.

The Canadiens will look to prove there is some fight in the dog when they kick off the series on Friday.
